Change orders

Signed baselines never change. Scope changes go through a change order, which becomes the new baseline when the client signs it.

  1. On a signed SOW, choose New change order and enter the reason.
  2. Stafio copies the current baseline lines into a new version. Edit the hours, milestones and basis.
  3. The change order goes through the same review, approval, send and sign steps as the original.
  4. When signed, it becomes the baseline. The previous baseline is marked Superseded and stays visible.
  • A declined or abandoned change order leaves the baseline unchanged. Draft change orders can be voided, and voiding is logged.
  • Hours already logged on a milestone the change order removed stay on that milestone and show as unplanned in estimate-versus-actual.
